Founder’s Message
Thank you for visiting the RouteX Inc. website. I’m Omori, the CEO.
While I was a student, I helped run startup communities at Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support and Coral Capital. Through those experiences, I was repeatedly moved by the passion of people who take on challenges and by the possibilities created through connection. Based on an award-winning business plan I developed at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Management, I founded RouteX in 2018 as a student entrepreneur—driven by a desire to build a mechanism through which the value created by startups can reach society across borders.
At the same time, I have also seen firsthand how Japanese players venturing overseas often lose opportunities that should have been within reach due to information asymmetry. Startup ecosystems differ from city to city, each with its own strengths, success factors, and challenges. Yet when these insights do not reach decision-makers in a timely manner, decisions around global expansion and collaboration are delayed, options narrow, and ultimately the cost of taking on new challenges rises. This is precisely where I believe RouteX has a role to play.
RouteX conducts parallel analyses of startup ecosystems in Japan and around the world, organizes the findings into practical insights and best practices, and delivers them to corporations, governments, support organizations, and startups. Benchmarking leading cases to inform business strategy, assessing growth potential through global examples, bringing new value back to Japan through collaboration, and improving the precision of partner and market selection for international expansion—our work is to make these decisions faster and more reliable.
Drawing on my experience establishing and negotiating for our Russia and France entities, as well as my ongoing studies in the Executive MBA program at the University of Oxford, I will continue to support cross-border challenges from both practice and theory. RouteX will connect ecosystems worldwide and help shape a future where Japan’s ambitions translate into greater global impact.
Thank you for your continued support of RouteX Inc.
